TODAY'S WORD
 This is part 2 of the series "God's Presence As A Provider Of Refuge". Part 1 may be found at Prophecy: God's Presence As A Provider Of Refuge-Part 1 Previously, I discussed how God has taught me about His presence. He has showed me how to recognize it and what to do if He departs from a place. I discuss some of the biblical examples of God's refuge and protection that I will not repeat here. You should read part 1 as a necessary prerequisite for reading part 2.

The concept of refuge today among believers in Jesus Christ is a very strange and puzzling thing. Everyone wants refuge and that is neither strange or puzzling. I have a great concern that the lion share of those who believe in Jesus Christ think they have refuge, but they have fallen victim to a strong delusion. They have no refuge: they are deceived. Many believers go about working up their confidence in interesting ways. Catholic believers have a family altar at the door of their homes: open to Psalm 91. I have met other believers who sleep with a copy of Psalm 91 under their pillow. Others have embossed it in clear plastic and carry it around with them everywhere they go, like a superstitious talisman. Psalm 91, however, says that other types of things are required in order to have a refuge in God. Anyone who reads this Psalm can see clearly what they are. These conditions involve constant passion for and continuous intimacy with God, not the carrying of a talisman or the opening of a bible.

Psa 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psa 91:2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Psa 91:3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. Psa 91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Psa 91:5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Psa 91:6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. Psa 91:7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Psa 91:8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Psa 91:9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; Psa 91:10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. Psa 91:11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. Psa 91:12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Psa 91:13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Psa 91:14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. Psa 91:15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. Psa 91:16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Clearly, something is greatly amiss here at this time and place. We have denominational believers who have never witnessed God do one solitary supernatural thing, yet they believe that they will be raptured to the sky to meet Jesus before any trouble reaches them. Others believe there are no current prophets, that no one knows anything about future events and therefore, there is no present refuge and that if we die, we die and go to heaven. Still others seem to believe that if they keep good church attendance and pay their tithes, then that will be enough and they will have refuge in God. There is another camp who seem to believe that if they are experts in prophecy, they will have refuge. Much of the prophecy they collect is from men who have sold the word of God for a profit: these have gone the way of Balaam (Jude). Yet, the bible is consistent. To enjoy refuge, you need the Psalm 91 style of relationship of dwelling with God. To dwell with God, or rather for Him to dwell with you, you need to be clean, avoiding defilement and quickly repenting if you fall. In short, you have to keep your spirit clean to have refuge.

Avoiding defilement is a very pertinent subject: acutely applicable to our modern day believers in Christ as they gather in their Single Senior Pastor controlled churches. Joshua learned a lesson that we read about in Chapter seven that cost Israel 36 soldiers in their overconfident attack on Ai: defilement in the camp that was caused by ONE MAN will lead to defeat on the battlefield and death of the believers. Did you learn that lesson? God had given Israel a great victory at Jericho, but there were conditions. One man thought those conditions were too extreme, so he disobeyed. He thought he could get away with it: just take that little trinket and bury it in the tent and who will know? When God is close, He always has conditions. Disobedience can be costly: just ask Ananias and Saphira. You want refuge? Then you want God to come close! I have told you before that your Senior pastor system is sufficient to defile your entire church and to deprive it of refuge, yet very few of you have come out of her, my people, as the Lord exhorted you to do. The structure alone is defiling you! Your Senior Pastor may be a nice man, but he is serving in a defiled, harlot system. You continue on, serving God as you see fit in your defiled harlot churches. You believe you will have refuge? Think again! You will be partakers in the plagues that God will pour out upon you if you continue to refuse to come out of her. (Revelation 18:4)

Jesus said in the hearing of Luke that you have to be found worthy to escape what is coming upon the Earth. That type of escape is a form of refuge. Some will be found worthy and some not. This means that there will be an examination to determine worthiness: something that the sloppy grace crowd will surely decry. Those not found worthy will have that day come upon them unawares, as a thief. No warning leads to no preparation. For some reason, these have lost all connection to their God. They cannot hear His voice and many times in the bible, hearing God and hearkening unto His prophets led to victory and prosperity. (2 Chronicles 20:20) Jesus told Luke that this loss of connection to God could occur through something as simple as an over emphasis on the sensual things of life in this world. Overemphasizing the physical will deprive you of refuge.

Luk 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting (overeating), and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. Luk 21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Luk 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

God used a vision several years back to teach me about several types of defilement. In the vision, I was jousting with the black knight. He was riding toward me, with that long pole pointed right at my heart. Then the Lord spoke: "He does not care whether he knocks you off the horse to the left (continued harlot church defilement) or to the right (sensual defilement, drunkeness, pornography, r-rated movies and the like) or if he kills you or destroys your reputation with a direct hit, knocking you right off the back. He just wants you out of that saddle where you are riding high with God." I often think about the prophets who have gone before me, wondering what their greatest concerns were. Ezekiel was apparently very concerned that he must warn the people about every thing that the Lord had showed him, no matter how bad the event was; no matter what the threat was to his safety or comfort. The Lord had told Ezekiel that there would be serious consequences if he, or any prophet, failed to give proper warning.

"When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul." (Ezekiel 3)

Jeremiah, like me, was greatly concerned that false prophets proliferated in his day. Mind you, Jeremiah was the only one who knew they were false. All the people followed their every word with great excitement. These false ones had swept the people in to believe them through promises of prosperity and God's blessings. These were the rock and roll star prophets of Jeremiah's day. Jeremiah was very concerned that no matter how he packaged his message, he could not get the people to pay attention to him. I have the same concerns. I frequently go before the Lord, pleading with Him to anoint the message that I bring with such fire and glory that all the remnant will hear and take heed, but I am haunted by what I see and hear. I fear greatly for what is coming upon my people and my people are church people!

God has done some odd things with me recently. Even now, He has begun to lift up this ministry as I have continued to humble myself. He took me into His service when I was a CPA: an auditor. That is a very austere profession, not given much to wild fancy. He caused me from the beginning (1991) to prophecy unusually about the number 17 (judgement begins in the house of God) and 24 (The number of Jesus Christ). Last year, many became aware that two complete solar eclipses are coming: one in 2017 and the next in 2024. These will be visible across the USA in two paths. There is only one city where you will be able to see the totality of both eclipses: Carbondale, IL-my birthplace.Bisecting Eclipses

Think about it: why would God draw such specific attention to me and to these dates I have spoken about? Have not hundreds of others told you that troubles are coming? Only God can cause a complete solar eclipse. Almost all of you would rather listen to television prophets who will only give you the full word they claim to have from God if you buy their book, their DVD or buy tickets to their conferences. Some would rather listen to Quayle, who has said that I am "too controversial" for his program. You see, I am BAD FOR BUSINESS. The Senior Pastors gnash their teeth when they hear me speak, but many of them welcome the prophets of doom with open arms into their pulpits. Wiles had me on his program three times when he began in 2006, then he began to use his contacts list to sell multi level marketing schemes. He then suffered serious financial challenges and now, he offers a forum for the safer "prophets" who are welcomed into the pulpits of America. "Church in the 21st Century: a body turned into a business!"

"How can any man be a true prophet sent from God if he travels a circuit, pulpit to pulpit, bringing prophetic messages, but he does not inform them that Jesus is coming to destroy these very churches that he is speaking to, which have played the harlot?"
