Report From The Tower
August 25, 2008
On the morning of July 5, 2008, I was seeking the Lord, in His word, in a hotel room in Fredericksburg, Virginia. I was on the road with Matthew Stephen, and the “Judgement At The Door” tour was in progress. We had just finished our preaching, proclaiming, praying and decreeing at the seat of our government in Washington, D.C. on July 2, 3 and 4.
I have not been permitted by the LORD to write about these events until now, but I was permitted to speak about them on my radio broadcasts. Today, August 25, 2008, is “ZERO HOUR”. This is the commencement date for much that God will now do in the Earth. Now, the Holy Spirit has directed me to write.
That morning, July 5, 2008, in Fredericksburg, the Lord spoke to me from Jeremiah 25, beginning at verse 15:
“For thus saith the LORD GOD of Israel unto me: Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it. And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them. Then took I the cup at the LORD’S hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the LORD had sent me.”
The Lord also quickened verse 28 to me by His Spirit:
“And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts: Ye shall certainly drink.”
I was born again of the Spirit of God when I first confessed publicly that Jesus Christ is Lord on July 4, 1987. On June 24, 1992, Jesus called me forth as a prophet to the nations, after the order of Jeremiah.
The Spirit of God drew my attention on that morning to the fact that I had just commenced my 22nd year of ministry on that very morning in Fredericksburg. I also realized that my prophetic forbear, Jeremiah, had received his orders from the Lord to take the wine cup at the hand of the Lord beginning at his 22nd year of ministry (fourth year of Jehoiakim, verse 1) and continuing on into his 23rd year of ministry (verse 3).
I was reading from a Scofield Reference Bible on that morning, and each page of that bible has the dating system that originated with Archbishop Ussher. So, I went to see what other scriptures had been given by the Lord to Jeremiah during that time period of his ministry life: the 22nd year.
Jeremiah was given the word that we have recorded in Chapter 35 during the days of Jehoiakim. Ussher has this chapter dated in the year 607: the 22nd year of Jeremiah’s ministry. This chapter relates the unusual story of the Rechabites. Jeremiah was sent to their house, and was commanded by the Lord to set pots full of wine, and cups before them. He gave them an order at that time in verse 5 to “Drink ye the wine”.
The Rechabites refused to drink the wine. The reason they gave for their refusal to drink was that their father had commanded them to drink no wine all of their days, and that they were to build no stationary buildings, but that they were to live in tents and that they were to live as strangers in the land.
Jeremiah replied to them, in verse 18, that “they have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he hath commanded you: Therefore, thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want for a man to stand before me for ever.”.
As I read these verses, the Lord spoke to me:
“In the same way, says the Lord, those of my children who are in covenant with their Father through the blood of Jesus Christ, and who are obedient to His voice and to His commands will be permitted to refuse to drink from the wine cup of my wrath, says the Lord. But they will become strangers in their land, and they will become refugees. They will move from place to place at my command.”
By this time, I had already located the final set of words that were delivered by the Lord God to Jeremiah in his 22nd year. The text begins in Chapter 45. Baruch had been crying out in pain, giving voice to his sorrow for the difficulty of the walk in his service unto the Lord and to the prophet Jeremiah. Verse three records his laments and is followed after by the reply of the Lord:
“Thou didst say, Woe is me now! For the LORD hath added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest. Thus shalt thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land. And seekest thou great things for thyself? Seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest.”
I heard plainly and clearly on that morning what the Lord was saying to me and to the rest of his servants in this hour. The way will sometimes be hard, but it is God’s way, and God’s plan. The word of the Lord is clear and unambiguous.
God’s command to me is also very clear. I must now begin, as my forbear Jeremiah did before me, to command this nation to drink from the wine cup of the fury of the wrath of God. God’s children are not appointed to drink from this cup of wrath, but only if they obey His instructions as they come forth from His mouth.
I must accept His commission to me to walk forth with the staff of God, striking the Earth wherever He shall direct and as many times and as the Lord God will command me to do. I must also stretch forth the staff at the head of the remnant to lead those who are escaping into the pathway of breakthrough as these escape routes and gatherings are revealed by the Holy Spirit of God to His apostles and prophets in this hour.
I will pray no more for this nation, or for the nations to whom I am sent by the Lord God, for the fury of His wrath will now sweep this planet. Judgement unto repentance is now come to an end. Judgement unto wrath will now ensue. I can do no more nor less than that which is given to me by the Lord my God to do.
