PROPHECY: The Simple And The Scornful

TODAY'S WORD THE SIMPLE AND THE SCORNFUL This is a long, but necessary article. I hope, in the name of Jesus, that the church takes heed. Deuteronomy 13 1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, 2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; 3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. 5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee. THE REALLY DANGEROUS FALSE PROPHET This scripture warns us about an event that, were it to occur, would be extremely perilous. We are told that a prophet, or a dreamer, will give a sign. In short, he or she will predict something, but it will come to pass. IT WILL BE AN ACCURATE PREDICTION. But, this prophet, or dreamer, does not represent the Lord God of Israel. His true motive is to draw people away from the one true God, and the Messiah Yeshuah, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I tell you, I sense that we are in danger of such an event happening today, and from what I can discern, many Christians do not care about the source of their spiritual information. TEST EVERY SPIRIT One anonymous internet poster reports of receiving a visitation from an angel. This angel visitation was accompanied by a very awesome sign, in that the prophetic person he or she was on the telephone with knew, in the spirit, that an angel was present. This angel has, apparently warned about a comet impact on June 24, 2004. This appears very impressive. Maybe it will happen. The sign is awesome. There is only one problem that I can see: NEITHER OF THESE PEOPLE TESTED THIS ANGEL. 1 John 4 1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. PROFANE AND DEMONIC SOURCHES I have received dozens of contacts from concerned Christian people, from all over the world. They have heard about a purported Australian astronomer, who is predicting various asteroid impacts during the month of June. This astronomer curses like a sailor, is bitter, resentful, hateful and just downright mean and nasty. Some say he is not what he says. Some say it is simply a hoax. Others believe everything they read. Yesterday, information came forth on the internet that seemed to corroborate the story. It was announced that this astronomer had testified before the “South Australian Parliament”. I tracked down the source of this report. I found it on a website that presents the supposed wisdom of the Hopi Elders, Mayan prophecy, Maori prophecy, Aztec prophecy and everything else that had a type of “Indian” slant to it. THIS IS A TOTALLY DEMONIC SOURCE. Everything these people do will lead people away from the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us consider the possibility: what if God decides to send the three asteroids in June? God has already told his true prophets that this event will take place, and He will give His servants dreams, so that none who are counted worthy will be killed by it. What if it happens, as these Hopi Indians and this swearing, cursing astronomer have said? Will Jesus Christ be lifted up? Deuteronomy 13 2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Be careful, my brothers and sisters. THE SIMPLE AND THE SCORNFUL RISE TOGETHER The bible teaches us that over the approximately 6000 year history of Earth, there have been A FEW critical times for God’s people. During these times great leaders arise, with the anointing and calling of God to lead God’s people out of danger, and into a safe and promised land. During these critical times, the simple arise to the left of the leader, and the scornful arise to the right. Nehemiah 2 18 Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king’s words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work. 19 But when Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian, heard it, they laughed us to scorn, and despised us, and said, What is this thing that ye do? will ye rebel against the king? 20 Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem. Pr 1:22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? A dictionary definition of a simple person is one who is marked by “having or manifesting little sense or intelligence…Uneducated, ignorant, a fool, a simpleton. God links the simple and the scorners in this scripture. I have noticed that they seem to appear together in the natural as well. Pr 14:15 The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going. The simple will listen to any word, from any source. We see this today. Christians are running hard after anything spiritual. They are not careful to consider the source. SHAMEFULLY, THIS INCLUDES MANY PROPHETS AND PEOPLE OF VISION. They will listen to words, dreams and visions, where the name of the person is not even given. They will take information from profane sources, and from people who fellowship with demons. Yes, the simple are on the left. We must be careful to examine every word, test every spirit, guard every thought, and take captive every keystroke of the computer: 2 Corinthians 10 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. Again, God connects the simple and the scornful Pr 19:25 Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge. Pr 21:11 When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge. Pr 22:3 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished. In the days of Moses, we see the simple, and the scornful, together as well. Numbers 16 1 Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men: 2 And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown: 3 And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD? How easy it is, in dangerous times, for the simple and the scornful to form a dangerous alliance against the MAN OF GOD. A little rumor here, and danger there, and a dash of deprivation, and, voila! The Lord offers some hope to the simple: Proverbs 1: 1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel; 2 To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; 3 To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. To the scornful, the Lord has something else to say: Pr 13:1 A wise son heareth his father’s instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke. Pr 14:6 A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth. CRITICAL TIMES TODAY Nine years ago, I traveled at the leading of the Lord to St. Augustine, FL. During the drive, the Lord repeatedly spoke to me that He had something of great importance to reveal to me. We arrived, and on September 8, 1995, I felt led to go take a tour of the Castillo De San Marcos, the huge, old Spanish stone fort that sits at the mouth of the bay. I obtained a tour pamphlet while there, and my attention was captivated when I discovered this fact: September 8, 1565 marked the landing of the Spaniards at St. Augustine. There, on that day, they held the first Catholic Mass. I was standing atop the fort, exactly on the 430th anniversary, to the very day, of the first Catholic Mass on North American shores, and the founding of the first city by Europeans in North America, and I knew the biblical significance of 430. Exodus 12 40 Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years. 41 And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt. As I stood there, reading that little pamphlet, my eyes rose to survey the bay beneath me. I looked down at the pamphlet, and saw the name of the bay: Matanzas Bay I knew it was important. The next day, when I returned home, I researched the meaning. That name means: THE PLACE OF SLAUGHTER. The Lord had revealed to me, in a historical picture, that the time for his captives to be set free, the time for his people to be brought out of Egypt had arrived. I was given notice. Babylon would be cast down from this time forth: a spiritual and political Babylon on these North American shores, that had its’ genesis 430 years ago, was coming down. God’s people were to be freed from their religious and economic prison house. That was nine years ago, and I have been waiting, until now. Bob Neumann’s vision of THE SLAUGHTER PENS, brought this whole event and revelation back to me. It is time. TEOTWAWKI. It is time for, as my nine year old son Johnny said….time for all this revelation stuff to start happening, very very soon. It is time, as an audible voice told my wife last Sunday morning: time for the end of the world THIS YEAR. It is time, as the Lord told me, for the true prophets to arise in the church, and for the secrets of mens hearts to be revealed. THOSE CLOSEST TO YOU CAN LEAD YOU ASTRAY Sometimes, the people who are closest to you: your brothers and sisters, in the Lord, or your wife or husband, will lead your astray if you are not careful. Deuteronomy 13 6 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; 7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; 8 Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: 9 But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. 10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. 11 And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is among you. Some will dare to chastise God for his roughness here. Why wasn’t God more patient with these people? Why was the punishment so swift and so severe? Surely, you say, God has mellowed out now in His old age. GOD HAS NOT CHANGED! It is still a dreadfully serious thing in the sight of God to have anything to do with something that might lead God’s little lambs astray. Have nothing to do with it once you know the source is tainted. Yes, some ignore the true prophets of God, to their peril. They are simple, and make no preparation. They do not hide themselves in the day of the indignation of the Lord, and they are swept away. Others are so simple that they believe every word, every rumor of war and of evil. These are a paranoid brood. Some of God’s prophets are in fellowship with these. God is calling His people of vision to bring everything to him: to pray about everything. Do not quickly and simply accept every dream or vision, but pray about everything. VICIOUS SCORNFUL MEN AND THEIR ACTIONS TODAY Some scornful men are more vicious than others: all are depraved and self condemned. Some, it seems, waver on the very edge of scornfulness. MAYBE, THIS DESCRIBES YOU! They place a little toe into scornful water, and then quickly withdraw from it. Others dive quickly into the pool of bitterness. If you are reading this, and you have considered a vicious attack on a man or woman of God, you had better stop it. You had better fast and pray about what you propose to do. You had better be especially wary, if that man or woman of God refuses to defend him or herself. YOU MAY DIE. That is what the scripture teaches. It does not always happen like that, or immediately, but in previous, serious and perilous times, the DATHAN’S, ABIRAM’S, KORAH’S, HEROD’S, HAMAN’S and JUDAS”S did not fare very well. Read your bible if you do not know how they wound up. Herod departed this life, gagging on the worms that crawled up his esophagus, and choked him, departing out of his mouth so that all could see the incredible horror of his death. SOMETIMES, THE DEATH OF THE SCORNFUL IS GIVEN AS A FRIGHTENING EXAMPLE, so that some of the simple may take heed, and learn. Yes, most of the time, God allows them to afflict the men or women of God, and gives His servants grace to endure. But sometimes, God intervenes with a strong hand. If you have planned, or if you have some sort of plan in the formation, to attack an anointed man or woman of God, you had better walk very carefully. You are on the edge of some very thin ice. YOU HAD BETTER BE SURE ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE DOING, for you may pay with your life, temporally and eternally. WILL THEY…….CAN THEY REPENT? Very rarely have I witnessed the repentance of one of these. The bible calls them an accursed brood. We are commanded in Romans 16:17 to avoid them, and in Titus 3:10 to reject them: hard words and tough actions. Yesterday, June 4, for example, I began receiving emails, carrying various computer viruses. One of these email messages boldly announced to the owner of the email name Stephen@usaprophet.com, (that’s me) that he or she was going to take down the computer that was sending out all these irritating messages on the internet. Very quickly, it became clear that this was no idle threat. This person, obviously someone with some considerable computer skills, and a will to serve the devil passionately, attempted to upload virus after virus to my computer over a period of about six hours. Failing in that, this person began to attempt to hack into my computer while I was online. I used an IP address locator to attempt to isolate who was doing this. Someone was using a very sophisticated system to conduct this attack. It was originating from a company called ICG, Inc., company that obviously does some very high end work in the cyber world. It was either military, or someone masking their IP to make it appear to be a cyber attack coming from a .mil source. The attacks were routing through China and Korea. Interesting! I became aware of these bold attempts, and began to praise God. Two weeks ago, my main internet computer broke without warning. It needed a new motherboard and microprocessor: $325. But, I did not lose a single document on the hard drive. During the interim, I began to use another computer, and bought a brand new virus protection system/firewall for it. I installed it about a week ago. I had never operated a firewall before. I am convinced that yesterdays attack would have overwhelmed my old computer, but praise be to God, for he worked everything together for good. Thus far, this attacking, self condemned scorner has had no success in his attacks against my computers. In my own strength, and with my own knowledge, there is no way I could have defended myself against such a sophisticated, scornful attacker. But my God is wiser than any scornful man, and He knows how to defend me, as I hide myself in Him. It is clear that we have reached the time of the indignation of the Lord. CONCLUSION This is a time to walk very carefully, and to stick very closely to the written word of God. Watch your sources. Line everything up with the 66 books. Pray about everything. Fast as you are led by the Lord. Prepare as you see fit. Hide yourself in the Lord. Do not panic. Test every spirit. Cast down all fear, except of the Lord. Do not judge by mere appearances. Make a right judgement about everything. Examine yourselves to see if you are in the faith. Stephen L.
