Matthew 13:23

Mat 13:23 "But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty."

We are instructed here about four steps to bringing forth a harvest. There are three types of harvest that may be obtained, once we determine that the soil is, that the hearer will PATIENTLY employ all four steps. The seed is very clearly the word of God that is emplanted in the heart of the hearer. We must employ these four steps with God’s word to obtain any multiplication of our harvest, but still, three different harvests are possible. Did God say this for nothing? God used three numbers to differentiate the possibilities of harvest size: thirty, sixty and one hundred.

The Holy Spirit has instructed me to seek out the differentiation as indicated between the three numbers that are before us for consideration. He has said that we will find the keys as we investigate into the word of God. Furthermore, in addition to the consideration of these three numbers, God has also brought before me THREE MAIN REQUIREMENTS for obtaining the desired multiplication of our harvest: GIVING, BATTLING AND BLESSING. We will now embark of a study of the biblical numbers and an amplification of these requirements.

I remember listening to my father, who would tell stories about my grandfather, the scientific farmer. My grandfather came to this country as a small boy. In the time of my great grandfather, agriculture was much as it had been for thousands of years, but during those early days came the onset of mechanized farming, and so yields were increased even though the same seed was still being planted in the same good ground.

Then, in my grandfather’s time came the advance of scientific farming. I am told that the farm bureau representatives used to come to Nashville, Illinois to make themselves available to all the local farmers. In the early days, my grandfather was one of the few who availed himself of these resources. When the University of Illinois agriculture professors would come to offer their teaching, he listened to them also during their courses, and then paid to take them out for dinner in order to more fully and privately question them. By doing so, he learned about even better methods and about the utilization of fertilizers. He gained still more harvest yields even though he was still using the same seed, planted into the same good soil.

I bring forth these examples to put forth the premise that how you handle the seed and the soil can radically affect your harvest. This example is true of the spiritual harvest as well. Furthermore, study and attention to detail can pay real dividends if the Holy Spirit is behind it, waiting to provide the increase.

The number thirty is symbolic of our entry into spiritual life. We must be born again and we must then commence our ministry. Jesus was baptized and commenced ministry at age thirty. We enter and and commence to GIVE of that which we have received from God. By speaking about GIVING, we speak not merely about money but about the giving all that we are, that we do and that we think that is in any way good, for that which is good has been given us by the Lord.

We are told by Jesus to “give, and it shall be given to you.” Whatever we receive from God, we are to quickly give it away. We are instructed to seek not our own well being, but the well being of others. We are made to be a river of living water, and that river must have an outflow.

The number thirty is primarily about learning how to GIVE of everything we have received. Many of today’s scribes have heaped laws of tithing and offering upon us and have promised us multiplied returns that have failed most of the time, but no one will receive the thirty fold multiplication harvest until one learns how to give as led by the Holy Spirit.

You, as a legal tither, may be frustrated for years, and may have to give well beyond a tithe, and enter into the realm of boldly given love offerings, given out of need rather than abundance, to discover this fact. Mere legal tithing, absent any faith, will never please God, and will release none of this blessing. Furthermore, going back to embrace even part of the law of Moses brings a curse; counter to our goal of blessing and multiplication. This instruction from Jesus is not speaking only about money, but about the giving of everything we have received from God, including our time, or life and our talents.

Joseph was brought before Pharoah at age thirty, and was given the word of wisdom answer for that which troubled Pharoah:-----Genesis 41:46

Thirty years marked the earliest age at which a man was considered mature for entry into the priesthood.-----Numbers 4:23

When one approached the tabernacle in the wilderness, he beheld a curtain of thirty cubits in height. ---Exodus 36:15

Later, the temple in Jerusalem was constructed with a height of thirty cubits, thus signifying that at the entrance to the Holy Place, the number thirty was indicated. The proper use of our money is pointed at also with the number thirty, where it is prophesied, and fulfilled, that our Lord would be betrayed for thirty pieces of silver. The beginning of receiving protection is indicated in the fact that the Ark of Noah was thirty cubits in height.

The Spirit of God has revealed to me the reason why those who approach God under the new covenant have much difficulty in obtaining the divine multiplication by merely tithing according to law. Christians are to serve in a covenant where the ceremonial law of Moses has been fulfilled. No one can therefore receive the thirty fold multiplication until they have mourned over the death of Aaron and Moses. They must have died to law and entered into faith giving as led by the Holy Spirit, thereby passing the test for entering into thirty fold multiplication of their harvest.

Aaron Mourned for by Israel Thirty Days.-------Numbers 20:29
Moses Mourned for by Israel for Thirty Days.-----Deuteronomy 34:8

When one entered the 30 cubit high temple in Jerusalem, he had to walk sixty cubits to reach the back of that temple. The Holy of Holies, or most holy place, was in the back in a small room. Likewise, the priest who entered service at 30 years of age finished that service at age 60. And so, maturity is indicated here. But there is more.

We find the defeat of the first giant in scripture in the book of Joshua, where we read that Og of Bashan and his kingdom of 60 cities was taken by the Israelites. We read about Og’s giant bed and the glory of the victory. We begin to access the sixty fold multiplication power as we battle and begin to obtain victories in the Lord. Scripture indicates that David surrounded himself with sixty mighty men. What we see pictured here is someone who has learned how to fight battles for God and who has begun to slay giants in the name of the Lord. This person has obtained boldness and courage from the Lord, and does not faint in times of difficulty. This person has employed and begun to obtain everything that is required to obtain the thirty fold blessing. Everything is being obtained by faith. But sill, there is more.

The number sixty, being intimately connected with the battle, has then to do with how spiritual battles are won and how victory is obtained. And so, the one who would obtain the sixty fold blessing has learned:

1) How to decree a thing and see it established (Job)
2) How to write and vision and make it plain, so that those who read may run with it (Habakkuk)
3) How to overcome through actions of faith, which has been termed “faithing”

The second of these three is, in my estimation, one of the most ignored aspects of obtaining an increasing harvest. We must communicate the vision clearly.

My greatest concern and focus for this article is upon this third and final section: obtaining the hundred fold multiplication and entering into the miraculous realm. Much has already been written by others that, when applied by faith, and not through obedience to any abominably added Christian law, will lead the disciple to the doorway of consideration of the hundred fold.

Many people enter the church of Jesus Christ, and are never born again. This teaching is of no benefit for them. Others enter in at Christ Jesus the door, but they remain as diapered babies, forever lingering in arrested spiritual development as toddlers in God’s house. These will never obtain any multiplication of God’s word. Their talents have been buried in the ground and they will be saved as ones escaping through the flames. Some are filled with the spirit and begin to walk as led by the Holy Ghost. These obtain some thirty fold blessing, but they are forever defeated in battle. They bow down to the enemy when the times of struggle and difficulty come into their lives. They win some and they lose some. These obtain some of the sixty fold blessing, but not consistently.

Others, but only a few, follow along the narrow way that leads to life. They begin to overcome in these matters and obtain some sixty fold blessing, but then, a light begins to dawn, and they realize that there is still more available to them….much more, and it involves completely the miraculous and the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. It will also require a complete life exchange: their life for the indwelling life of Christ Jesus! These nine gifts are only received through much prayer and fasting. I say this by the Spirit of God. Argue with me at the risk of your loss. Refuse to fast if you care not to receive. For those who want to press on, the hundred fold realm of the miraculous looms still ahead.

The number one-hundred is repeatedly characterized in God’s word by blessing and honor. The realm of the miraculous is received, many times after all hope in natural means is exhausted. The only way to access the hundred fold multiplication prosperity blessing is to tap into God’s miraculous blessing supply. There are a number of steps to follow and it can take a lifetime to understand, implement, accomplish and receive, with most children of the kingdom never having reached it or touched it at all.

Scripture has much to say about blessing and honor. Our pastors today are silent. They have received much about speaking words of faith. They preach over and over again about tithing, offering, firstfruits and everything else by which they may be enriched in their personal kingdom building. We will not touch very deeply about any of that here, for the Spirit filled person can discern when a man is chasing after money and His pocket book. There is, however, much more for those who are willing to chase after God. We should follow the word of God…amen?

God spoke a blessing over Adam and Eve.-------Genesis 2: 28
“Gen 2:28 And God blessed them and God said unto them, be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.”

God blessed Noah and his sons. --------Genesis 9:1-2
“Gen 9:1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth. 2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moves upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hands are they delivered.“

God blessed Jacob in a dream ---Genesis 28:12-15
“Gen 28:12: And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. 13: And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; 14: And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. 15: And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.”

So we see that God established the pattern of blessing. Now, we will see a man who had gained understanding, and who had been kept pure in his generations, and who had learned to imitate God in this business of blessing.

Noah blessed two of his sons and cursed the third son who dishonored his father.---Genesis 9:21-27
“Gen 9:21 And he drank of the wine and was drunken; and he was uncovered in his tent. 22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers, who were outside. 23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward and they saw not their father’s nakedness. 24 And Noah awoke from his wine and knew what his younger son had done unto him. 25And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall be be unto his brethren. 26 And he said, Blessed be the Lord God lf Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. 27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. “

Here we have the first indication that if we want to be blessed, we must obey. It should be a no-brainer, but some of us are stiff necked and slow to understand. May it never be that you have been cursed by your father or that you, at an earlier time, had dishonored your father.

Isaiah said that we needed to be willing and obedient in order to prosper. So, it is not enough to merely obey, but our hearts must be right before the Lord.--Isaiah 1:16-19
“Isa 1:16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; Isa 1:17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. Isa 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Isa 1:19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: Isa 1:20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.”

And so, we conclude from this that as we have been blessed by God, we shall follow the example of Noah and bless our children too. We of the new covenant are instructed to bless even our enemies, and not to curse. And so, we bless all of our children. Most expectedly though, we bless our willing and obedient children with more heartfelt excitement and exuberance than we shower on those who rebel and who cause us trouble. Children, be careful not to exasperate your parents.

Isaac blessed Jacob and gave him instructions about seeking a godly wife.--Genesis 28:1-4
“Gen 28:1 And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan. 2 Arise, go to Padanaram to the house of Bethuel thy mother’s father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thy mother’s brother. 3 And God Almighty bless thee and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people. 4 And give thee the blessing of Abraham to thee and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherin thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham. “

God promised Abraham that he would bless him if he followed His instructions.--Genesis 12: 1-4
“Gen 12:1 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, get thee out of thy country, and from your family and from your father’s house unto a land that I will show you. 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shall be a blessing. 3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curses thee and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.4 So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.“

Isaac blessed Jacob and gave him instructions about seeking a godly wife. This blessing speaks about divine multiplication---the miraculous --Genesis 28:1-4

Scripture connects the number 100 with blessing and the miraculous. We find this to be the case when God visited Abraham at age 99, blessed him and then, at age 100, Sarah his wife brought forth a son of promise.-------Genesis 17
“Gen 17:17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear? “

"Jos 24:32 And the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, buried they in Shechem, in a parcel of ground which Jacob bought of the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for an hundred pieces of silver: and it became the inheritance of the children of Joseph. “

This was a very important action. It was mentioned by God in Hebrews 11. Joseph displayed faith when he gave the instruction to his descendants to do this thing. Israel honored him later by carrying out his last will and instructions concerning his bones.

“1Ki 18:3 And Ahab called Obadiah, which was the governor of his house. (Now Obadiah feared the LORD greatly: 1Ki 18:4 For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the LORD, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.) “

It is wise to honor and protect prophets, missionaries and other valiant servants of God. In doing so, they may bless you in return, and God will act upon that blessing! Where you find a powerful servant of God, you want that servant of God to remember you. DO SOMETHING MEMORABLE!

”Joh 19:38 And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus. Joh 19:39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight. Joh 19:40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.”

"Mar 6:35 And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed: Mar 6:36 Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat. Mar 6:37 He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat? Mar 6:38 He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes. Mar 6:39 And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass. Mar 6:40 And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties."

"Eze 41:13 So he measured the house, an hundred cubits long; and the separate place, and the building, with the walls thereof, an hundred cubits long; Eze 41:14 Also the breadth of the face of the house, and of the separate place toward the east, an hundred cubits. Eze 41:15 And he measured the length of the building over against the separate place which was behind it, and the galleries thereof on the one side and on the other side, an hundred cubits, with the inner temple, and the porches of the court;"

"2Ch 25:5 Moreover Amaziah gathered Judah together, and made them captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, according to the houses of their fathers, throughout all Judah and Benjamin: and he numbered them from twenty years old and above, and found them three hundred thousand choice men, able to go forth to war, that could handle spear and shield. 2Ch 25:6 He hired also an hundred thousand mighty men of valour out of Israel for an hundred talents of silver. 2Ch 25:7 But there came a man of God to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with thee; for the LORD is not with Israel, to wit, with all the children of Ephraim. 2Ch 25:8 But if thou wilt go, do it, be strong for the battle: God shall make thee fall before the enemy: for God hath power to help, and to cast down. 2Ch 25:9 And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The LORD is able to give thee much more than this. 2Ch 25:10 Then Amaziah separated them, to wit, the army that was come to him out of Ephraim, to go home again: wherefore their anger was greatly kindled against Judah, and they returned home in great anger. 2Ch 25:11 And Amaziah strengthened himself, and led forth his people, and went to the valley of salt, and smote of the children of Seir ten thousand. 2Ch 25:12 And other ten thousand left alive did the children of Judah carry away captive, and brought them unto the top of the rock, and cast them down from the top of the rock, that they all were broken in pieces. 2Ch 25:13 But the soldiers of the army which Amaziah sent back, that they should not go with him to battle, fell upon the cities of Judah, from Samaria even unto Bethhoron, and smote three thousand of them, and took much spoil. 2Ch 25:14 Now it came to pass, after that Amaziah was come from the slaughter of the Edomites, that he brought the gods of the children of Seir, and set them up to be his gods, and bowed down himself before them, and burned incense unto them. 2Ch 25:15 Wherefore the anger of the LORD was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand?"

“Gen 15:13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; Gen 15:14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance. Gen 15:15 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age. Gen 15:16 But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full. Gen 15:17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. “

Melchizedek blessed Abraham when Abraham brought him an offering of a tithe of the spoils of battle he had just won. We can see here that Abraham recognized a man of faith and power who served God nearby. Abraham went to financially bless that man when he had himself been blessed by God with a victory in battle. Scripture clearly indicates that the greater blesses the lesser, but Abraham blessed Melchizedek financially and Melchizedek blessed Abraham with a decree of blessing…that he would be and already was the possessor of heaven and earth. Much is made of our modern tithing scribes of the tithe aspect here, but realize, this tithe was given one time only and at the time of and from the spoils of a miraculous victory in battle. We do not ignore the tithe, but our focus here is on that which our modern scribes ignore: the blessing.---Genesis 14:16-20
“Gen 14:16 And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.17 And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king’s dale.18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. 19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: 20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand, and he gave him tithes of all.”

Moses, speaking by God’s command, gave order’s to Aaron the priest to regularly bless the people---Does this not imply that it is desirable for spiritual leaders to bless God’s people today?---------Numbers 6:22-27
“Num 6:22 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying 23 Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, this is how you shall bless the children of Israel saying unto them, 24 The Lord bless you and keep you. 25 The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious unto you. 26 The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.27 And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel and I will bless them. “

Hannah was blessed by the High Priest Eli and she gave birth to her first son, who became a great prophet.---1 Samuel 1:17
“1 Sam 1:17 Then Eli answered and said, go in peace: the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of Him. Hannah had a son, named him Samuel, and gave him to the Lord. Eli blessed Hannah again and she had 3 more sons and 2 daughters. Here is yet another blessing by the priest.”

And so, for us, we can seek to servants of God who are full of faith and the power of God. We are to give to them, and they shall bless us with their mouths. God will hearken.

The family of Rebekah blessed her when she had been selected to be the bride of Isaac-------Genesis 24:60
“Gen 24:60 They said “Thou art our sister, be thou the mother of thousands of millions and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them”.

Boaz and Ruth were blessed by their family and their people at their marriage. --Ruth 4:11-12
“Ru 4:11And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The LORD make the woman that is come into thine house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Bethlehem: 12: And let thy house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which the LORD shall give thee of this young woman.”

“Pro 31:27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Pro 31:28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Pro 31:29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.

Jacob instructed Joseph to bring Jacob’s grandchildren before him to receive a blessing.---Genesis 48:16-22 16:
“Gen 48:16 The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth. 17: And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father’s hand, to remove it from Ephraim’s head unto Manasseh’s head. 18: And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head. 19: And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations. 20: And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh. 21: And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers. 22: Moreover I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.”

Jesus blessed the multitude-------Matthew 5:1-11
“Mat 5:1: And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: 2: And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, 3: Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4: Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. 5: Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 6: Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. 7: Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 8: Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. 9: Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. 10: Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11: Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.“

Jesus blessed his disciples. -------Matt. 5:13-14
“Mat 5:13 You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt have lost his taste, wherewith shall it be salted it is henceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out and to be trodden under foot of men. 14 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. They were not even saved yet. They became the salt of the earth and the light of the world. The exact words of the Lord’s blessing were fulfilled.”

Jesus blessed the children who came to him.---Mark 10:13-16
“Mar 10:13 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. Mar 10:14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Mar 10:15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. Mar 10:16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.”

The Last act of Jesus was to bless those who were there to witness His ascension.---Luke 24:51-53
Luk 24:51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. Luk 24:52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: Luk 24:53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.”

1) Unrepentant sin.
2) Grumbling and fault finding.
3) Lack of unity (Dr. Lester Sumrall taught that none of the nine gifts of the spirit will function in a church or gathering where there is a lack of unity and a spirit of complaining).
4) Unbelief repeatedly spoken out of your mouth as you are waiting for the harvest.
5) Serving the Lord without joy and gladness.

1) Humble yourself and repent often of any sinful actions or speech.
2) Love God through extravagant worship.
3) Love the brethren and be patient with them. This covers a multitude of sin.
4) Give abundantly to widows, orphans and the poor who can never repay you.
5) Forgive quickly and allow no formation of any defiling bitter root.

I am not a young man anymore and neither am I a neophyte in the things of God. Sometimes, I become a bit irritated when I hear someone preaching something when I know they have had no personal experience in the matter. Neither have they received any light from heaven, but they are presenting some concept they have read in books or learned in bible college. This is not the case for me regarding these things. I have learned each of these principles through 24 years of walk with Jesus Christ, and each of these have been accompanied by experience and the receipt of light from heaven as touching these things.

I began as a younger, born again man, double tithing to my church because I had been told that it was a law for the Christian to tithe and offer. Malachi had apparently been moved to the New Testament, and I obeyed without any doubt or question. Since I wanted everything double or more in my life, I determined to double tithe, without any thought as to any other possible path or making any inquiry of God as to what God wanted or without any seeking of the Lord in the scriptures about the validity of this plan. My pastors assured me that I was on the right course.

One year later after I commenced double tithing, I was fired from my job where I was earning $115,000 per year. Six months after that, I lost my home, my wife, my children and all of my possessions. Still, I continued to dogmatically cling to the legal tithe, faithfully bringing my tithe in to the church and offering whenever I could, honoring first-fruits and doing all I was told to do. I had been told to not grow weary in well doing, so I continued on. Still, it was not working.

I became active in outreach ministry, and one day, a man came to my home who had worked with me in evangelism. He was going to be evicted from his home, with his wife and child, the next day, and he could not get his church or my church to help him. For some reason, he prayed and the Lord sent him to me. The only money I had available was $900 of my tithe money for about four weeks of work. I asked him how much he needed, and he said he needed $600. I told him that I would go to my room and pray.

I knelt to pray in my closet, pouring out my heart to the Lord, and repeating the tithing scriptures and I was simply running my mouth, without any break, giving the Lord no chance to speak. I finally finished, and I had decided to give this man $300. I figured that I could make up the tithe with what I had coming in, and I was going to send this man away, still needing another $300. I rose from my knees, confident in my plan……..until the Lord spoke: DO NOT LET THIS MAN LEAVE YOU WITHOUT MAKING HIM WHOLE!

I understood clearly and immediately, and through much fasting and prayer, I was familiar with the voice of my Lord. But still, it was difficult to understand that Jesus was ordering me not to tithe to my church but to supply fully the needs of this gospel co-worker. So, I obeyed, and I paid the man the full $600 needed to avoid his eviction.

This seminal event in my life led to my eventual discovery, through much seeking of the Lord through the scriptures and through prayer that this present day tithing law teaching is an abomination to the Lord God. I have written about it at length in the past. To be quick about it: ALL OF OUR GIVING OF ANYTHING, INCLUDING MONEY, IS SUBJECT TO THE LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT! EVERYTHING! ALL THE TIME! NO EXCEPTIONS!

In short, I began to experience multiplication of blessing when I began to give and to employ this principle. Still, I knew that I was growing, and I had much more to learn.

Battling involves learning how to write down a vision in a plain way. We must learn that in order to do God’s work, we are going to have to obtain the vision from God for that which God has ordered us to do. We must write it down and distribute it. It seems elementary, but it took me many years to learn that we must tell others about the vision. We must write it down. It must be plain.

This was the second key that released another thirty fold of blessing for me. You will never do anything great for God without writing down the vision that you have received from God, distributing it, and then watching God do the recruiting of those who are called to run with it. Prophetic decrees figure in here: calling that which is not as though it were. I learned about this; patiently applied it; and began to obtain.

You do not need very many words to quote Habakkuk’s words: “WRITE THE VISION….MAKE IT PLAIN. It seems so simple, but so many will fast and pray and remain on their sofa at home, waiting for blessing to rain down from heaven. So many disciples of Jesus are unwilling to tell anyone else about what they have received from heaven, but this is critical.

No one will run with your vision until you have written it, and made it plain!

Finally, I can now relate a story that I have never written about. My father was called by God at a young age. God revealed himself to my father before He was twenty years of age, but my father refused the call. Instead, my father embarked upon a business career, made many hundreds of millions of dollars and developed an intense love for money and the things of this world. As time passed, wickedness took more and more of a stronghold in his life. His years from 25-65 were wasted in material pursuits and ever increasing evil.

As I prayed for him, God revealed that I was to pray that God would strip him of all his idols. Over time, my father lost all of his millions. He lost every possession he owned, and had tremendous financial judgements against him in seven figures. Then, he came down with cancer.

At that aged time of his life, he turned back to the Lord and began to call upon Him, but you see, during my father’s time of intense wickedness, he had alienated everyone in our family, including me. God granted me a great miracle in that I was able to forgive me father. God restored our relationship, and I was able to teach my father many things about God’s kingdom in his final five years of life. Most importantly, I was the only family member who visited him in the last few months of his life.

During my last visit, I was sitting on the sofa with him in his home, and I asked him if he would bless me. He thought that I wanted to pray for him, as I had prayed for his healing several times.. He was so weak and feeble. No, I corrected him. I told him that I wanted him to lay his hand upon me, and pray a blessing upon me as his oldest son. I told him that he had been given some great gifts by God, and that I wanted him to pass these things down to me.

So, my father laid his huge right hand on my shoulder, and he prayed using his “thee’s and “thou’s”, but pray and bless he did, even with tears. I was crying too when he was done, for I knew that something powerful had happened. I had received something that I would not fully understand until later.

This fatherly blessing was imparted to me in November, 2002. Two weeks later, he passed on to the eternal. Subsequently, God gave me vision and financial blessing to reach a dozen nations as a missionary, and then, subsequently, to reach the whole world utilizing shortwave radio. Now, the vision is expanding even further, but the principles I have learned remain the same.

I am convinced that the fatherly blessing was the final piece that, when added to the ability that God gave me to write down a plain vision, and the revelation already received that every bit of giving needs to be Spirit led……..resulted in tremendous victory and hundred fold multiplication.

And so, I offer to you that which I have experienced and I instruct you about the realm in which I currently live. Forgive your fathers and your mothers. Obtain their blessings upon your life. Bless your wife and your children. Pray to God for vision. Walk and speak that which you receive by faith. Do memorable things for servants of God so that they will bless you whenever they remember you. Give extravagantly and boldly as led by the Lord. Walk in unity with others. Love the brethren. Bless those who listen to your preaching or your teaching. Speak well of your neighbors whenever possible.

I release blessing from my uplifted hands, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to all of you who have finished this article. I pray that you may find your way through to experience the hundred fold miraculous blessing realm where few dwell, walking by faith and not by sight. May you find light from the Lord to illumine any darkness that dwells within you.
