Dear Readers:

I was meditating before the Lord today, and my thoughts turned to the four angels bound at the Euphrates, and the Prince of Persia.

Last week, a reporter from �Alanban Newspaper�, of Kuwait City, Kuwait, interviewed me for the purposes of a feature article to be prepared, in Arabic, regarding my prophetic ministry. Since Kuwait is adjacent to Iraq, just South and East of it, and on the Persian Gulf, the Kuwaitis have a lot at stake in the outcome of the threatened hostilities that may arise at any moment in their region. They want to know what God has said concerning their region. As Muslims, they are open to prophetic ministry, as they follow and revere Muhammad as a prophet. It appears that Christianity, in the eyes of most Muslims in the region, has not been presented as having any connection with living prophets. The reporter actually asked if I had been schooled under Islamic Holy men.

This Kuwaiti reporter wanted to know what God had shown regarding the threatened invasion of Iraq. I told him that two prophets whom I know have given very stern warnings that American faces trouble if she invades Iraq. Two other notable prophets have said that America will triumph in an upcoming battle with Saddam Hussein. All cannot be hearing from God. I told him that, as yet, I had no specific word to give him.

After I finished the interview, I was left with a longing to know. I resolved to seek the Lord.

Almost three years ago, the Lord opened my eyes to some obvious things in the scripture concerning the four angels that are bound at the Euphrates River. That article is available at this link:

The Euphrates and The Kings of the East

Some excerpts from that article, pertinent to today, are:

�Today, the Lord opened this scripture for me by allowing me to notice a prominent fact: This scripture points to a link between the Euphrates and the Kings of the East.

The Euphrates River is EXACTLY 1700 miles long, evoking images and thoughts of Noah's flood, which began on the 17th day of the second month. Jesus said "As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be." Our February 17 (second month, 17th day of our year) corresponds to this. The Euphrates River splits modern Iraq. The Kings of the East, with their 200 million man army, can only refer to Communist China.

Scripture indicates that when the four angels are released from the Euphrates, they prepare a way for China. This points to a last days alliance between IRAQ and CHINA.�

The pertinent scriptures are:

"And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water therof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared." (Revelation 16:12)

"And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice...saying...loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to the slay the third part of men. And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand." (Revelation 9:14-16)

Last night, I was listening to the pastor of a church in Brownsville, TX. He was expressing concern over the threatened invasion of Iraq, because, as he put it, the Prince of Persia is a �very bad boy�. He was referring, of course, to the discussion, in Daniel 10, where an angel of the Lord gives us a glimpse into the battling, binding, restraining and holding back that goes on in the heavens between the angels of God and the Principalities of Satan. These are the pertinent scriptures:

DA 10:1 In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia, a revelation was given to Daniel (who was called Belteshazzar). Its message was true and it concerned a great war. The understanding of the message came to him in a vision.

DA 10:2 At that time I, Daniel, mourned for three weeks. 3 I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips; and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over.

DA 10:4 On the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was standing on the bank of the great river, the Tigris, 5 I looked up and there before me was a man dressed in linen, with a belt of the finest gold around his waist. 6 His body was like chrysolite, his face like lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and legs like the gleam of burnished bronze, and his voice like the sound of a multitude.

We can infer something from this. Daniel was in modern day Iraq, because he was standing on the bank of the great river, The Tigris.

DA 10:12 Then he continued, "Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. 13 But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia. 14 Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the future, for the vision concerns a time yet to come."

We can conclude something else here. The prince of Persia was fighting with an angel that was responsible for bringing prophetic revelation and understanding to Daniel, a Hebrew prophet, who was on the shores of an Iraqi river. Persia, in history, was formerly called Elam, and today is known as Iran.

DA 10:20 So he said, "Do you know why I have come to you? Soon I will return to fight against the prince of Persia, and when I go, the prince of Greece will come; 21 but first I will tell you what is written in the Book of Truth. (No one supports me against them except Michael, your prince. 1 And in the first year of Darius the Mede, I took my stand to support and protect him.)

Finally, we can conclude here that Greece also has a prince, who will need to be resisted or restrained. This same angel has relations with the Medes, and undoubtedly resists their prince as well. That is a second angel, but Revelation 9 spoke of four angels, bound at the Euphrates, until the sounding of the sixth angel is to occur at it�s appointed time. Who are these four angels? Scripture doesn�t say any more about these principalities, but we do know they represent nations in the heavens.

Genesis 14:9 tells of four kings who traveled together in an invading party in antiquity. They overwhelmed five kings who ruled Sodom, Gomorrah and the cities of the plain. Among these were the King of Elam (Persia-Iran), the King of Shinar (Babylon-Iraq), the King of the Goyim (nations-Medes-Afghanistan?) and the King of Ellasar (City of the Canaanites-PLO?)

I conclude that each of those four kings was an earthly puppet of a ruling heavenly principality, or angel. I also conclude that these four angels were working together at the time when Daniel was sitting by the Tigris, in Iraq, being ministered to by an angel of the Lord. The Babylonian kingdom that Daniel lived under must have involved a heavenly cooperation between these four principalities that were cooperating more than a thousand years earlier in the invasion of Sodom. We know from history that first Assyria, and then Babylon became an unrivaled world power and empire. Then suddenly, they were overwhelmed by Greece. They have never cooperated since.

It is my conclusion that these four angels were bound and restrained at that time, just as we are shown that Michael and another angel of heaven were at work, resisting the Prince of Persia. Those four had been cooperating, and had formed the �head of Gold� empire of Assyria/Babylon, but they were apparently bound at the center of their empire: at the Euphrates river, awaiting the time of the end.

Since 1980, we have seen four areas arising as trouble spots for America and Israel.

1) Iran (Persia-Elam)-beginning with the ouster of the Shah and the taking of the American Embassy hostages in the early 1980�s.

2) Palestinians (Canaanites)-beginning just prior to the six day war of 1967 with the formation of the PLO under Yasser Arafat.

3) Iraq-beginning with the invasion of Kuwait in 1991 and the ensuing Gulf war, although Israel had forseen a developing problem a few years earlier and had taken out the developing nuclear capability of Iraq.

4) Afghanistan-revealed to the world as alive and dangerous through the work of Osama Bin Laden in 2001.

The question to be asked is this? Have the four angels, bound for generations at the Euphrates, been loosed? If they have been loosed, what would we look for?

Well, the only sure fire proof will be when we see an army of 200 million men crossing the Euphrates, and a third part of men, more than two billion souls, are destroyed in a terrible war. But, I think we have some hints. We are able to see a level of cooperation, among radical Islamic sects, that is currently crossing borders. It is working, at it�s strongest, in Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine. This is the approximate old range of the formerly world dominating Babylonian empire. At some level, I conclude that these four principalities have been loosed, but it appears, with some restraint still in place.

As the Brownsville pastor said last night, it is one thing to kick Saddam Hussein out of Kuwait and chase him back to his hole in Iraq. It is entirely another thing to remove him from power and to set up another government in place of what exists today. To do that, you are opposing a ruling principality in the heavens. In this case, it is a possibility, in my opinion, that four ruling principalities may oppose an American invasion of Iraq. You cannot do that without God�s help. It is simply a matter of whether Michael, and the Prince of America and the angels of God, will restrain these princes.

Will God go out to battle with America this time? God restrained the four angels in 1991. America was standing with Israel at that time, and I believe Michael was doing the restraining. Will He do so in 2003?

I say this: never has America needed prophetic intercession like she needs it today. Never has our President needed Godly counsel like he does today. If we do not have both, then we as a nation are in deep trouble.

As a prophet of the Lord, I see it all very clearly now in the realm of the Spirit. The key is Michael, Israel�s prince. Will Michael, stand up for America in the heavens? Will America stand up for Israel on the Earth? It is easy to see how we ought to pray. We need Michael on our team, for biblically, he can restrain these four angels. If Michael stands up and stands aside with respect to America, as scripture tells us he will one day do with respect to Israel (Daniel 12:1, 10:13, 21), then it is my belief that no amount of nuclear or technological or military ability will be able to help America.

America must continue to stand with Israel, and, in fact, stand more faithfully. This is the way we need to pray! If we want Michael to stand up for us, then we must stand up for Israel.

Beyond that, we must pray that the church of Jesus Christ, in America, will produce righteousness in the Earth.

What will happen if we participate in plans to divide Israel as we are rumored to be doing later this week, on December 20? God forbid!
