I am meditating on a number of things tonight after experiencing one of the most interesting days I have had in a long time. I have passed this way before...it is familiar territory. What is that, you say?

What do you do when words coming to you...prophetic words...through God's messengers... disagree and are in conflict with one another? How about when it involves personal prophecy?

Well, first of all, the surest sign I know of that an individual is called as a prophet is that of the messed up life, with many daunting problems to be faced. In attempting to deal with these problems, the young prophet does as the proverb recommends: he seeks wise counsel. What is the result of that counsel? One advisor recommends taking the left turn. The other advisor recommends a turn to the right. Where does this leave the young prophet?

He must hear from Jesus!

It will always be so for the prophets. We must hear from Jesus. Listening to men too much will always mess us up greatly. That is the great danger from attending too many prophetic/ apostolic conferences. You hear too many voices and get all messed up.

After many years of this, the prophet has a tendency to not ask too many things of men. I've become like this. And you know what? They volunteer it! Uninvited, they prophesy to me! And they are still in disagreement! One says I will prosper...the other says I will be poor. One says I'll be tempted to stray...the other says I'll stand firm and overcome. One says I'm in the right church...the other says I have to move. Praise be to God that I hear HIS VOICE, because if I did not, and I listened to all this confusion, I'd really be in a mess.

How about you? Are you in a mess yet regarding the prophetic? Are you wondering who is speaking for Jesus? Listen for HIS VOICE.

Sometimes, disagreement in voices is agreement in disguise. Take Pastor Mark Weaver's word, which I reprint in part below, as an example:

"For Jehovah is our judge, Jehovah is our lawgiver, Jehovah is our king; he will save us. Isaiah 33:22

For a number of years, I have used the above verse to teach and proclaim the wisdom of our Founding Fathers. Here we see the three branches of our own governmental system:

God our Judge: The Judicial Branch
God our Lawgiver: The Legislative Branch
God our King: The Executive Branch

These three powers are God's governmental powers -- areas where He exercises His authority. Those who formed our nation understood the dangers of concentrated power. Thus they separated them. In theory, these powers are checked, balanced, and restrained.

As I grow older, I am coming to realize that this verse represents not so much our Founders' wisdom, but rather God's sovereign hand in the formation of this nation. Our Founders understood this principle, but only because the Holy Spirit inspired and guided them.

Now, my readers might be surprised, but I am in complete agreement with Pastor Mark and what he wrote about America. I also substantially agree with with what Bob Neumann wrote, that I reprinted on my site, regarding the rebellion that was present in the breakaway of America from Great Britain.

How can both be from the Lord, you say?

Mixture! That is the answer. America is a mixture: a hybrid creation of the things of God and the things of the enemy. Such is the condition and operation of today's church in America: mixture!

You can attend many churches today, where a real prophecy from the Lord God will be followed by someone, interupting a message to bark or howl like a dog....and you think we do not have mixture in the church? Yes, we have it. It has pervaded Toronto. It followed Rodney Howard Browne wherever he travelled in our land. Mixture! God doesn't like it.

Finally, God spoke to me tonight. About this mixture! About this war! About this conflict! About this judgement upon the apostles and prophets that HAS ALREADY commenced.

Micah 3:5-12 Revised Standard Version

"Thus says the Lord concerning my prophets who lead my people astray, who cry "Peace" when they have something to eat, but declare war against him who puts nothing in their mouths. Therefore, it shall be night to you, without vision, and darkness to you, without divination. The sun shall go down upon the prophets and the day shall be black over them; the seers shall be disgraced, and the diviners put to shame; they shall all cover their lips, for there is no answer from God. But as for me, I am filled with power, with the Spirit of the LORD, and with justice and might, to declare to Jacob his transgression and to Israel his sin."

Initially, I breathed a sigh of relief as I read what the Lord was speaking to me, because I derive my living from performing accounting services, and not from the taking of tithes and offerings. But when I was finished sighing, the LORD warned me too....not to show favoritism for any reason. The Lord hates favoritism in his church, for any reason, and especially where money is involved. I know how easy it is, even for me, to not want to offend certain pastors who have been very supportive of my ministry and business. Am I willing to deliver a true, hard word, to a pastor and a church that I love? Are you willing? Will you say peace, peace, when there is no peace.

A sword from the Lord is coming against the church, indeed it has already arrived. It is here, says the Lord. I will remove everything from the head of my body that offends, says the Lord. Indeed, in the place where Pastors have lived, supported by my flock, my true pastors and servants and prophets will now have to pay out of their own sustenance to support the flock. My ministers will now have to pay from their own money to remain in ministry. I will reveal the hireling, says the Lord. I will unclothe and render naked the man who divines for money, says the Lord. I hate mixture, and I will remove it. Then, I will deal with my body, and then, the world, says the Lord, for judgement begins with the house of God.

There is one more thing. Initially, I thought this word was only for me, but the Lord has adjured me to write it.

Stephen, say this to my Apostles and Prophets:

There is an attack of utter seduction that will come against you, my servants, to reveal what is truly within your hearts, for I will rid the head of my body of all who offend, says the Lord. This seduction will draw you back to your former mistresses....the ones you knew and loved before you knew me, says the Lord. For some of you, that mistress is money and power. For others, it is sex. For others, it is fame. Others: pride.

You will be greatly tempted to abandon your ministries to follow this mistress that will woo you like a siren song that lured the ships toward the rocks. Sing, Oh Lorelei, sing. Your song will be sweet. You will seduce and cajole and test my servants. You will reveal what is in their hearts. You will tell them that they can still keep their ministries running and have you too, but you lie, oh Lorelei. Guard your hearts, my servants, for I, the Lord, am moving, in my vineyard, around the vine with pruning shears. All who do not bear good fruit will be cut off in the day of the singing of the siren song, says the Lord.

This seduction will come upon you as a blizzard: it will overwhelm you with it's intensity and it's duration. It will come with flattery. I will come with deception.

Guard the devoted things in your life, says the Lord, for they are under the ban, and they are holy, says the Lord. I the Lord, hate mixture. Have I not bought you with my own blood, says the Lord. The ministries, giftings and callings that I have given you are holy, and they are mine, says the Lord. They are devoted things. They must be used as I direct: for holy purposes and not for vile.

Turn not to the left or to the right lest you hear MY VOICE, says the LORD, for many will prophesy to you, "turn this way", or "turn that way", but as for you, wait upon me and for my voice, says the LORD. Wait, I say, upon the LORD. Awake, I say, and do not sleep and be careless and drunk and lethargic in this hour, for it has come, says the Lord.

And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch!
