I have never done an exact count, but I've been told that there are about 800 predictions
that were written down in the prophetic writings concerning Jesus. These include predictions
about things that he would do, where he would be from and how he would live. We are
given details about his appearance and his crucifixion. We even are told the city of his birth.
I have been challenged by those who say that I have not conclusively proven that Jesus is
the LORD GOD. I say it again, if you believe this, you are lost and have not come to a place
where you have a belief that saves you. You are in a dangerous place and are in the devil's
hands, right where he wants you to be.
The proof, from scripture, about Jesus is found in Isaiah 9:6. This prediction about Jesus
came through the prophet Isaiah in 740 BC, according to my Scofield Reference Bible,
which has the handy dates in the margin as studied out by Archbishop James Ussher. Let us
examine that scripture.
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his
shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, THE MIGHTY GOD, The
everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
Now, isn't this something! According to this scripture, the messiah shall be called "THE MIGHTY
GOD! Not only that, also, he shall be called "The everlasting Father".
This is a short post because this scripture simply slams the door on opposition. Jesus is the
Messiah! He is the LORD GOD. He is inseparable from "The everlasting Father". Amen.
Let us close with Isaiah 43:10.
"Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know
and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither
shall there be after me. I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour."
