PROPHECY: Be Ready

TODAY'S WORD I just received a note from Randy Mckee. He is getting ready: making final preparations for trouble and change. I made similar preparations five months ago, and have tried to stay at the ready, every day, for dramatic change. My friend Ann Peterson has made her move from Orlando, FL to Asheville, NC by now. One by one, a little here, a little there, a few people are preparing for change. I know that Bob Neumann has been busy with certain preparations . Honestly though, most people just seem to think that nothing major is going to happen and that the status quo will be preserved, and so, they have made no preparations. Something Randy included in that letter needs to be shared: “A few months ago I felt the Lord say that anything big that might happen will happen in a vacuum. The Lord gives the warning to the World ( they usually don't listen ) and he gives notice to His remnant. But then He often steps back and watches and sees how we respond. The warnings and notices have been given. The die is cast, people have made their decisions. And with their decisions their individual courses have been set by the Masters hand.” So God is watching his remnant (that’s us). We have His word. What will we do with it? How will we behave when a vacuum sets in? A vacuum is emptiness. Outer space is my first associative thought. A vacuum cannot support life of any kind. Lifelessness! You have to have your own “life support system” to survive it. Many of us have been privately discussing our shared famine of hearing the word of the Lord. There is a prophetic vacuum at this time among those whom I trust to hear and write what God is saying, and not what they imagine He MIGHT be saying. I suspect it is a time for many of you, when you have begun to slack off a bit. Let us come to attention, and walk in the light. Be at the ready. Be alert. Watch and pray always that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Sin is deceitful. It crouches at the door. It desires to have you, and to rule over you. Be vigilant. It may be that the time of change that is appointed unto us is at the door as well, crouching just outside in the prophetic vacuum that we presently are experiencing. Or, it may be that more time of patient waiting is appointed unto us. Let us acquit ourselves like good soldiers, laying aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
