TODAY'S WORD
I just had a good strong belly laugh. Then, a sort of seriousness set in. After all, it is MAY 7th, and those of you who have been around for a week or more know what that means. My mother in Carbondale, Illinois was emptying the china cabinet and putting away the fine crystal last night, while the tornados whirred all around her.....just in case May 7th might hold another kind of shaking in store for her: 90 miles from the heart of the New Madrid fault.

I was sitting at my desk. I have a good, 5 speaker sound system hooked in through my computer, with the ability to play CD�s or Cassette tapes while I type away. Suddenly, the Holy Spirit reminded me that I had the first album by Russ Taff on tape, in a drawer to my left and behind me, and He wanted me to give it a listen.

Years ago, the Lord used this album in my life. He spoke through it, calling me to a fast for forty days.

I reached over, and pulled that dusty tape out of the drawer. I have not listened to it in probably 7 or 8 years, but I have a special affection for it.

I took it out of the case, and put it in the cassette, and pushed play.

The first words I heard Russ sing were from the CHORUS:

TO BREAK THE FACT FROM THE FAKE
ALL THAT CAN SHAKE IS GONNA SHAKE
