Matthew 25:13 tells us and it's not complicated to understand what Jesus was saying....and I quote " Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh". Just as we are entreated to keep watch, it is my belief that we are also cautioned to be watchful and alert that the enemy doesn't detour us or cause us to stray and fall into a deep sleep; so that we miss the Bridegroom's return.
Today some of us are being lulled to sleep so unaware of what's happening around us. We are in a state of unconsciousness, dead and asleep....so dead that the thief enters and violates us and we don't even wake up.
Matthew 24:38 " For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark. Verse 39 " And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."
Do you realize that nothing has changed about God's Word or His instructions for us today? They were awake in the natural but asleep in the Spirit.
In Noah's day the people missed it big time. If I have it right they had 120 years to comply.
Genesis 6:1-13 and I'm not going to write it all down. You can do some homework and read the chapter for yourself. There was so much wickedness, violence, rebellion, disobedience and every imagination of the thoughts of man's heart was only evil continually.
God's heart was so grieved He repented making man. Man brought destruction on himself and left God no choice. So tell me is it any different today, than it was in Noah's day? The evidence is clear. Noah was the only one in his generation, that God found Righteous. Can this be said of us today by God?
Some of us have turned a deaf ear and a blind eye to decrees and prophesies spoken by true prophets in the Old Testament, New Testament and today's prophets.
God's looking for "watchmen" who will stay awake and watch and give warnings in times of great trouble. So will you be a watchman on the wall who will not abandon his post until his assignment (s) is completed?
God established a "Covenant" with Noah, so whenever God asks us to do something He always rewards us with a Promise. Some of us may or may not even be alive when some of these things take place. The fact remains it will take place but only in God's time.
We live in a century of the overload of information......information that some of us don't even need. We humans being who we are are filled with curiousity and sometimes that curiosity gets us into trouble.
I'm not on Facebook, instagram, twitter or any of those sites that are marketing so much unnecessary information. I have had to have my husband recently make some changes on my phone because of all the explicit filth that was being downloaded daily on it.
Even with that stuff going to my spam mail I am still disgusted by the topics that are degrading and downright nasty. So all I do is either unsubscribe when possible or hit the delete button. And even after doing that some of the nasty stuff still pops up, usually under the disguise of another name.
No matter what I do I cannot seem to get away or stop the crap that's sent to my phone without my permission. All these sites Facebook, twitter, instagram and numerous others have the technology and capability to become "private invaders "and "time stealers" to quote my husband.
I pray that we as believers will take the blinders off and really begin to search out godly information that's truly important. Put your phones down and pick up the infallible word of God instead. A lot of people go to church and no longer bring their bibles with them. Their phones have become their bibles. Sorry but I need my Bible... In it I can write stuff as the Lord speaks to me. Try doing that if you're reading scripture on your phone and see if you can write next to it.
Ephesians 5:15-16 clearly states how we are to live out our time on this earth. We are given instructions and instructions are meant to be followed. We are to use every opportunity given us and use it wisely.
Proverbs 14:2 " He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the Lord: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him. Think on that for a moment. We are living in a perverse generation that hates God. So don't faint in the day of adversity or else your strength would be diminished.
God has given us so many true prophets but yet most of us pay no heed in fact some are still crying out and asking God when is He going to send us prophets who will bring people to their knees in repentance. Hello everyone has to make their own choice. So what choice are you making? The bible also says that we are to know them who labour among us. I've seen how diligently my husband a Prophet called and chosen by God works for and in the kingdom of God.
Do you know who is labouring among you? Do you even give them the time of day? When you lay down for the night is JESUS your Lord the last person you converse with? Or is it something from Facebook, instagram or twitter? Ouch that must hurt!!! You are probably turning up your nose at this right now and saying how dare she. Well I double dare some of you to take up a challenge. When was the last or ever did you read the bible cover to cover? Learn to apply your heart unto instruction. It will do you well when needed.
I do believe that Facebook, twitter and instagram are all tools of deception and seduction. It sucks you in and consumes your life. This is why so many people have been taken captive and hostage by these sites. It's a growing epidemic and addiction. It's like a drug you cannot do without. You must have it. You have become totally dependent on it from morning to going to bed at nights.
Why not become dependent on God? Why not become addicted to the things of God? Why not let Him be your high? Wake up your mind to seeking God and stop being brainwashed by these sites.
