Prophecy: "Watch And Pray" by Mary Bening

Ephesians 5:16 tells us or rather implores us how we are to be living in these last days. I have come to the personal conclusion that it is not only imperative, but so crucial to the rest of my existence on this earth that I need to always be watching, praying and listening to prophetically catch God.

According to our scripture we are to make most of our time, why? Well we certainly don't have as much time as even we had yesterday. Every day we waste brings our Saviour's return closer. So the great need is to increase our speed doing God's work.

We should avoid wasting time doing wasteful things. Every thing we do should without a doubt, edify us and others bringing Glory to our God. Redeem your time with godly things. The word redeem means to buy back, so the more diligent we are in the things of God; the less we will play into the hands of the enemy.

Are you aware when Ephesians 5:16 says the days are evil it doesn't mean that the days itself are bad. It means that the time we are caught in contains so much immorality, ignorance, profanity, grossness, filth, darkness, blindness and the list goes on.

A lot of us have become spiritual and physical victims to these influences. And headed into the pits of destruction. We are called to watch and be alert as how we walk out this christian life. Know your priorities as far as the kingdom of God is concerned. We don't want to give the enemy any kind of leverage to slip in and steal our time, vision or mission.

Some of us watch too much television or listen to too much radio. And if that's not enough we engage in some practices that' s only geared to corrupt us and pull us down. Be careful how you spend your time God has so graciously given you.

Instead of spending time doing or watching or listening to unprofitable things; why not read your bible, so you can connect with God. And how about you spend time talking and listening to Him so you can have that special intimacy with Him.

Get alone and naked with God. Now when I say get naked I mean be transparent with Him. He knows everything about you already, so why not come and bare yourself before Him. The enemy knows that he has very little time left, so he is doing all he can do to redeem the time, but we the people of God will not allow the cares, worries, troubles or anxieties of this life to drag us down or destroy or damper or vision or mission. So my encouragement to my sisters and brothers in Christ that are struggling with some of these issues, seek the Lord with all your heart, mind, strength and soul. He knows your name and you are not alone. He JESUS is your ultimate Peace. He will not ever give up on you. AMEN.
