THE PROPHETIC WITNESSES
PROSPERITY THEOLOGY-The idea and the teaching that you must be in the money flow to be in the anointing and that in order to be blessed financially, you must only give to ministers who are financially rich. One must come to the place of utter blindness before this doctrine can be accepted. A quick read of the scripture shuts it down in so many places and, after all, the bible only includes 66 books covered in 1189 chapters. It is not as though the word of God is "War and Peace". The new testament, at 260 chapters, is read very quickly. The passages that deal with the love of money and the fate of one who loves money and mammon more than God are clear and concise. Anyone who reads them with open eyes knows exactly what is being said.

Spiritual blindness results when we sin. Most problems of sin are rooted in love. We would not be sinning if we loved God more. Hence, almost all sin has some form of idol at the root of it: you love your idol more than you love God, so you sin in order to chase down your idol.

The word of God speaks here about those who were not found to be lovers of the truth, or rather, perhaps they loved something else more than they loved the truth.

2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 2Th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Such people have been given over by God into such a blindness that they can be led into any pit. Once in that pit, they are trapped, unable to see any way out and indeed, unable to seen any need to find a way out.

People have been promised great riches and their best life now in this generation by some of the most popular preachers in today's churches. Is it any wonder that most people have made the pursuit of those two things their principal and primary aim? This is what they have been taught to chase and pursue and so they have obeyed their lords and masters, not the LORD and MASTER.
