TODAY'S WORD

I was led of the Lord into this study when I heard him say this morning: "Patient endurance is required on the part of the Saints." This is a paraphrase of Revelation 14:12

This little caption above is really the succinct message of Revelation 14 and most particularly fits the section of the chapter referred to as "The Messages Of Three Angels" with particular emphasis here placed on just what that third angel has to say to us today. Let us look together at that scripture:

The Messages of the Three Angels
First Angel
Rev 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
Rev 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

Second Angel
Rev 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

Third Angel
Rev 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
Rev 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Rev 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

The message of the first angel began to be spoken in the mid 1500's through many preachers, teachers, evangelists and through men who, though they did not call themselves prophets, certainly lagged not behind many of the greatest prophets. The angel spoke, but men carried the message forth in their writings and in their preaching. They translated bibles into common languages and placed those Bibles into the hands of the common man for the very first time. This message continued to be carried forth by the great evangelists of the 1700's: Whitefield, Wesley and Edward notably among them. There was wide and almost universal agreement among the Christian churches as to the message conveyed by the angel. By the late 1800's, the consensus was: message received, loud and clear.

The message of the second angel was received among the Christian Churches with a great unity of understanding as well. The Babylon that had fallen was Rome: most specifically, Rome Papal. Luther began to allude to this in his Table Talk writings, Bishop Newton began to expound on this in the mid 1700's. Robert Fleming, who never claimed to be a prophet, predicted exactly the year when this fall of Rome Papal would begin. E.B. Elliott pulled all the information together most excellently between 1844 and 1861. By the late 1800's, the consensus was: message received, loud and clear.

It really matters not in the slightest that this present day apostate church has forgotten almost everything it ever learned from God. The fact is, the angels sent those messages and a great number of men received them.

The message of the third angel has always been a different matter entirely. E.B. Elliott concluded for this reason in 1844 and still held this view in 1861 that the message of the third angel had not been finished or fulfilled because there were so many ideas even up to his time about the identity of the specific persons involved. He concluded that this third angel message must reach the point where a significant portion of the church was in complete agreement as to the meaning of it, just as had been the case with the messages of the first two angels. Elliott was also a proponent of the chronological time flow assumption regarding the Book of Revelation, as I am also.

The Beast of Revelation 14:9-Corrupted Clergy
I will tell you, as a prophet of the Lord, that the beast spoken of in Revelation 14:9 is fulfilled in a rogue, lamb like apostate clergy. This is the same two horned, lamb like beast that we see portrayed in Revelation 13:11.

The Image of the Beast of Revelation 14:9-The pope in any age
I will tell you as a prophet of the Lord, that ONE image of the beast, who causes men to receive his mark, is the pope himself. Bishop Thomas Newton clearly explained this in 1754:

On this verse the learned bishop Newton observes: “The influence of the two-horned beast, or corrupted clergy, is farther seen in persuading and inducing mankind to make an image to the beast which had the wound by a sword, and did live. This image and representative of the beast is the pope. He is properly the idol of the Church. He represents in himself the whole power of the beast, and is the head of all authority, temporal as well as spiritual. He is nothing more than a private person, without power and without authority, until the two-horned beast or corrupted clergy, by choosing him pope, give life unto him, and enable him to speak and utter his decrees, and to persecute even to death as many as refuse to submit to him and to worship him. As soon as he is chosen pope he is clothed with the pontifical robes, and crowned and placed upon the altar, and the cardinals come and kiss his feet, which ceremony is called adoration. They first elect and then they worship him, as in the medals of Martin V., where two are represented crowning the pope, and two kneeling before him, with this inscription, Quem creant adorant; ‘Whom they create they adore.’ He is The Principle of Unity to the Ten Kingdoms of the Beast, and causeth, as far as he is able, all who will not acknowledge his supremacy to be put to death.”

Regarding the mark of this beast, Elliott had this to say regarding those whom the pope persecuted with respect to buying and selling, marking them, as it were, as heretics:

A canon of the Lateran Council, under Pope Alexander III, commanded that no man should entertain or cherish them (those who would not worship the beast) in his house or land, or exercise traffic with them. The Synod of Tours, (just when the Waldenses and Albigenses had begun to excite attention,) under the same Pope Alexander, passed the law that no man should presume to receive or assist the heretics, no not so much as to exercise commerce with them in selling or buying.* And so too, as exprest in Pope Martin's Bull, the Constance Council. 5 How the mass of the Clergy urged its execution in other days throughout the Popedom is notorious.....and again, Elliott writes that "those who "worship" the beast give in to the idolatries of the church of Rome, and embrace, maintain, and defend the Popish religion, which bears a resemblance to the worship of the Heathens, and is the very image of Rome Pagan.

The message of the third angel concludes just where the Lord began with me this morning: "Patient endurance is required on the part of the Saints". Certainly, all manner of men, with estimates topping fifty million, have been killed after this manner. This has stretched out over roughly a 500 year period. Patient endurance: whew! I look on this third angel message, as Elliott did, as being still future in achieving unanimity of agreement as to the meaning of it, as certainly no one today has any sane answer for what is meant by this image of the beast.

I will tell you one piece of shocking news that I guarantee you have never heard before: this from a prophet of the Lord. Remember when I wrote above that "ONE image of the beast, who causes men to receive his mark, is the pope himself." There is also a SECOND image of the beast, who is really so like the first image of the beast that it is almost indistinguishable from the FIRST image of the beast.

This SECOND image of the beast is created when a modern, two headed lamblike beast: a corrupted clergy, sets this man in as a SENIOR PASTOR. Remember the quote from Bishop Newton: "He whom they create they adore." He becomes a little pope over his flock. The people worship him. Many of them expect this senior pastor to be their God-man: to represent them before the Lord and to lodge himself between God and themselves. This senior pastor kills spiritually. He aborts spiritual babies and spiritual ministries. He kills hopes and dreams of the Saints. His mere presence in the church structure decapitates the church, ie, cuts the head of Jesus right off of the church. He collects the tithe, just as Samuel warned the Israelites that any king over them would do to them. He becomes this IMAGE OF THE BEAST when men worship, adore or otherwise grant unto him the spiritual headship over their lives that Jesus alone ought to occupy and he permits it; he agrees with it and insists upon it. The type of worship they offer to this senior pastor image mirrors that which papists offer to the pope: they put up with the respective errors and idolatries of their senior pastor. They want their senior pastor to have the biggest jet airplane, they even sometimes carry him around the church on a throne and indulge his every craving, lust and whim. They blindly follow and submit to his vision for the church and his vision alone. This is a thing never seen in any of the bible churches, for eldership was completely and entirely PLURAL in the New Testament churches.

This explains then the vision from the Lord I was given in 1991:
I was sitting in church meeting on a Sunday morning in a high school auditorium that our church rented for the purpose of holding Sunday meetings. I was in the center of about 600 people, toward the rear, and my pastor was at the pulpit: preaching.Now, mind you, this was all happening just as it always did, every Sunday. There was no prior warning given to me that anything unusual was about to happen. I was awake and not in vision and then suddenly, the vision started. First, I saw a pyramid appear over the head of my pastor at an elevation of about fifteen feet. It was hovering in the air over his head. Next, I saw Jesus appear. He was standing to the left of the pyramid as seen from my vantage point. He was looking kindly and gently toward me. After that, I saw lines appear on the pyramid and there were names on those lines, very similar to a corporate organization chart. At the top of the pyramid was the name of my pastor. Below that, in the middle of the pyramid were the names of the elders in the church. The names of the deacons were on a line at the base of the pyramid. Finally, a wooden club suddenly appeared in the hands of Jesus and I recognized that club. For those of you who are familiar with "The Flintstones" comic cartoon, it was identical to the club that was wielded by the "Bam Bam" character in that cartoon. I looked at Jesus and He looked at me and His countenance began to change. He looked at the pyramid and I could see that He had become upset and very angry. He looked back at me, pointed at the pyramid with the club and said: "I DID NOT BUILD THIS THING". With that, the Lord Jesus hit the pyramid with all His might, and it exploded into millions of pieces. The vision ended.

This further explains the word the Lord spoke to me in 2009:
"I the Lord have designed My church to suit my good pleasure, and men have departed from My wishes as they have elevated the desires of their hearts over and above the desire of My heart. They have among them men who desire to be chief, and others who wish to be like the rest of the world around them. All believers in your nation have "a pastor", and so, those for whom you intercede desire "a pastor", so as not to be peculiar in appearance. They are uncomfortable when others in their community regard them as different or strange. I the Lord have called my people to be a peculiar people, and I will abide with those who abide with Me. I will abide with the one who keeps My word and My commandments. Where the function of the church is proper, but the structure of the church is aberrant, I will put upon that church no special measure of My presence and My power. As my presence is experienced in the harlot church, so will I be experienced in the church for which you intercede, for the structure alone is sufficient to defile the whole lump."

I know that it is highly unlikely that many will agree with that which I have set forth today, as the entire church is filthy, caked in defilement and populated by comatose and near dead, lifeless persons who are blind and who cannot understand the simplest truths. This senior pastor headed church, defiled as it is merely by the structure, does not qualify for any refuge from the coming storm. There is no virus protection in these churches. God has promised to send the double shock of the double judgements. This will shock the remnant church to life. In that day, that which you read here will become truth to you and you will know that a prophet has been sent among you.
