TODAY'S WORD
 Ezekiel 39:17
“And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord God; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.”

ISA 18:7 (NIV)
“At that time gifts will be brought to the LORD Almighty from a people tall and smooth-skinned, from a people feared far and wide, an aggressive nation of strange speech, whose land is divided by rivers-- the gifts will be brought to Mount Zion, the place of the Name of the LORD Almighty.”

This aspect of the Lord is indeed terrible. We, as New Testament believers, can barely contemplate it in our minds, yet, our God has not, and will never, CHANGE.

There is a reason that He is called the GREAT AND TERRIBLE LORD GOD in the scripture. He hath earned the name!

Yet, we conjure up images of a doting grandfather, who will never chide, discipline or deal harshly with His creation.

Yesterday, Joseph Cook sent this scripture to me, from Ezekiel:

Ezekiel 6:11
“Thus saith the Lord God; Smite with thine hand, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! For they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.”

Here, we see that the prophet is told to go about rejoicing over the coming sacrifice, and it was not a sacrifice of bulls and goats that the prophet was seeing. No, it was the sacrifice of a nation filled with human beings great and small.

Isaiah saw the coming sacrifice of the United States, which is given to us in the eighteenth chapter of his works, above. That sacrifice is termed in this manner: that “the gifts will be brought to the Lord Almighty” and “the gifts will be brought to Mount Zion”. It is absolutely terrible for us to contemplate that our awesome God regards the coming destruction of our nation as something to be received as a thank offering, a gift, a present and a sacrifice, but it is so. Our God is not a man, and His thoughts are not our thoughts.

Robert Neumann has written today that “You Don’t know what tough is!” Indeed!

Today, I was thinking back upon some of the awesome events that I have witnessed, and events that have personally touched me and affected me. In particular, as I wrote earlier today, I remembered a time when I saw God mow down fifteen people as though they had been shot with an Uzi. Personally, I have been knocked out of a chair and glued to the floor. I have also been hit with fire from heaven, in my left hand, and was quite certain that my body was LITERALLY GOING TO EXPLODE INTO MILLIONS OF LITTLE PIECES.

These three events, when they happened, were accompanied by an awesome impartation of the fear of the Lord. Particularly the last event, during which I was absolutely terrified, I can testify to you that I do not petition the Lord for a repeat of that. His presence, like that, is not something I would drive anywhere to find.

My meditations now turn to the “slayings of the spirit”, such as what I have reported above, and other real manifestations of this sort that I have read reported. I will ignore the fake falling and phony pushing that I have seen so often in the last sixteen years. I expect that real manifestations of this sort are happening globally, but I am certain that they are most frequently reported in the United States. What might be their purpose?

In all three of the cases where I have personal experience with this manifestation of God’s power, I can tell you that the one thought on my mind was of His absolute power and the terror of Him, and that he could have ended my life, and the lives of others that were effected by his touch, just as easily as he let us simply fall, or be knocked out of a chair, or hit with fire and power from on high. I was very close, and in contact with THE GREAT AND TERRIBLE LORD GOD, and I will tell you that as I reflect back upon it, that fear of Him returns now.

I do not want my nation to experience Him in that way, but I know that my nation WILL experience Him in his aspect of terror, and it will be in an even more terrible cognition than that which I have previously experienced.

This aspect of people being mown down seems to me to be a preparation of the sacrifice. Could it be a foreshadowing of things to come? I suspect this is so. People are being warned of things to come with a touch of terror! I must tell you that since January 12, 1993, when I was hit by fire from heaven, I have not stood in a prayer line, seeking to BE SLAIN! Oh Lord, I have seen enough! I have felt enough!

We have been reminded by hundreds of prophets, sent to us by the Lord God, that we live in a nation where time is counting down to ZERO HOUR. As some say, we are on BORROWED TIME in America. We are more than ripe for judgement from the Most High God.

Joseph Cook said that he saw, in an inner vision, Robert Neuman and me, stamping and smiting in the assembly, and then others, as if in mass, doing the same.

How do we get this right Lord? We are to be interceding with you, praying for delay for these things. We are to be praying that you might repent for these things. And yet, we know there is this great and terrible attribute of the Lord our God, in that He rejoices in the day of great sacrifice, and it is too much for me. I am undone by it! Oh what a wretched man I am in the site of such a God of terror!

I humble myself in the sight of MY ALMIGHTY GOD, in simple confession, that I am a sinful man. Apart from the blood of Jesus Christ, how will I stand in the sight of such holiness and unapproachable light?

And yet, he calls for me to remove the precious from the vile, that he might employ me as his horrible messenger once again.

Repent, my people, repent, cries the Lord God Almighty from on high, for he is preparing to break out in the midst of His people. He is not as you have made Him out to be. My God, the GREAT AND TERRIBLE LORD GOD, does not change!

You have not been appointed unto His wrath, so turn now. Let him give you your life as one snatched out of the fire. Turn now!

“Thus shalt thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land. And seekest thou great things for thyself? Seek them not; for behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a pray in all places whither thou goest.”
