Dear WPA and other readers:

With the recent increase in words, prophecies, visions and dreams that contain warnings, it is obvious that it is wise to be prepared for any eventuality. I liked what Jarl Ami/Bob Neumann/old dog said a few days ago: that seismos means commotion, and that can cover just about any shaking or disturbance you can imagine, including disturbances of weather like hurricanes and windstorms and tidal waves.

As I was thinking about this today, the Holy Spirit prompted me to share with you how I have prepared in the natural. First of all, those of you who read this are probably fairly well spiritually prepared, although we could all have a closer relationship with the Lord. We know we need to do that, and we know how to seek our Lord to do that. But how about preparation in the natural? I feel led today to share with you the extent of my preparations in the natural, in terms of general readiness for anything that might happen.

My "Hiking and Retreat Checklist" has on it those things that I keep in my Camptrails "Wilderness" large, frame backpack in my room at home. There are "frills" on the checklist, that are obvious, that I don't have packed and at the ready all the time. Obviously, most of the items are packed in small quantity and in the smallest containers.

My backpack, which old dog calls my bug out bag, is fully packed and ready to go at any moment if the Lord speaks and tells me to go anywhere else with my family for any reason. If I have to leave, I will take this pack on my back, and I'll carry my Beeman Air Rifle over my shoulder. I also have a Redhead belt pack, in which I carry my ammo. I'll carry a big family tent in one hand. This will leave me with one hand free. I might carry different things, depending on whether I'm going to a hurricane shelter locally, or to someone else's house to ride out a storm, or to the Mountains to evade flood or tidal wave, or to the trail to evade people.

If I am able to stay in my second floor apartment, I have certain other preparations that are too heavy to take along. What I present below is what I have ready to run out of here with if I am in a big hurry, even if I have no car available. I have planned this way because in a nuclear pulse attack, our cars would be rendered undrivable. If my cars are functioning, I will of course load both of them with as much as I can take from the rest of my stores, which include propane tanks, gas stoves, lanterns and of course, food.

As time permits, I'm planning on outfitting a pack for each of my children as well. At the present time, my pack is complete. These will, of course, be suited to each child's ability to carry. From previous experience on the trail, I have learned that each child must, at a minimum, carry their own canteen, some food and snacks, clothing, rain gear and bedding.

I have made no provision for weapons. I have little experience with their use. For defense of that nature, I feel led to rely on the Lord. My Beeman Air Rifle with strap and scope is a quiet way to hunt for small game.

I have prayed about what should be on my list and what should not. I have changed it many times, and devoted much thought to what types of conditions I might encounter in the types of situations I have seen in visions and dreams. I have thought about places of refuge if I had to leave my urban home. My choices vary depending upon whether I feel led to escape from Florida. In Florida, I have considered the area of the Florida Scenic Trail, along the Kissimee River. I have also considered escape routes to Haiti or North to either the Smoky Mountains or further north to the Shawnee National Forest, in Southern Illinois, with which I am much acquainted and familiar.

In short, I want to be as prepared to survive as I can possibly be. I want to be able to lead and to assist others. I have tried to plan and think ahead prayerfully, knowing that without the Lord's help, all preparation is fruitless and vain. Without vision, the people perish.

In that sense however, I agree with what our Apostolic writer trumpeted a few days ago: forewarned is forarmed.
