(Rev 1:19) We behold that radical and extravagant worship is the entry ticket into the heavenly realm.
Rev 4:1  After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.  The Throne In Heaven 90 AD to 170 AD Weak Yes Elliott, Horae, Vol I, p 82 4:1    "Come Up Hither"-a cry the Lord uses to summon me up higher into a more otherworldly walk with Him.  I am sure that many others have preceded me.  It seems very much a stretch to associate these words with  the rapture of the church.
Rev 4:2  And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.  4:2    The Geneva Bible says that John was "ravished" in the spirit:  a nomeclature that I especially like.
Rev 4:3  And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.  Gen 9:12, Rev 10:1, Rev 21:11
Rev 4:4  And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.  The 24 Elders Rev 5:8-9 4:4    Consistent scripturally with all things "24":  Jesus, the Omega (24th letter), Strong's Number for Jesus (24), 24 divisions of Priests and worshippers in the Temple, 24 Kings of Israel and of Judah, when we count Jesus Christ as their first king and their last king....In Rev 5:8-9, these are said to be redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, so this is evidently a not too fanciful allegory and most probably refers to literal, redeemed saints.
Rev 4:5  And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.  Exo 19:16, Psa 29:3
Rev 4:6  And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.  Rev 15:2
Rev 4:7  And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.  Pro 30:30, Eze 1:10, Rev 14:6
Rev 4:8  And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.  The Cherubim and Seraphim Isa 6:2-3, Eze 10:20 4:8    The six wings give away their identity as the "Cherubim", in Ezekiel, or alternately "Seraphim", in Isaiah.....Kadosh, Kadosh, Asher Ayah Ve Hoveh, Ve Yavoh-A powerful Hebrew exclamation of worship.  Those words, and also "Hoshiana" (Hosanna), always bring in the very strongest presence of the Lord God when chanted or sung by sanctified worshippers.
Rev 4:9  And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
Rev 4:10  The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,  4:10    The message is clear to all who would prophesy:  the entry way into revelatory knowledge is opened when one becomes an extravagant worshipper of God.
Rev 4:11  Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.  Pro 16:4, Rev 5:12
